This lecture by Walter "Sparky" Matthews, M.D., Clinical Professor in the Honors Program, will provide a deep dive into the physiology of hematohidrosis (sweating blood), as well as an examination of scourging and crucifixion as performed by the Roman Empire. Included will be a detailed examination of the physiology of Christ’s suffering and death during His crucifixion.
