The HRC accepts men and women of all majors and disciplines who are enrolled in one of the Honors College majors or programs (Baylor Interdisciplinary Core, University Scholars, Great Texts, Honors Program).
We host regular lectures and community programs throughout the year and hope that HRC members will engage in these exciting opportunities. Though there are no formal requirements for participation, we hope that residents take advantages of these opportunities.
The priority deadline for students wishing to live in the HRC is May 1
The HRC is one of three residential colleges on campus; it is the only community specifically designed with honors students in mind. Modeled after the college systems of Oxford and Cambridge in England, the HRC emphasizes student and staff faculty involvement within the community, special programs and lectures offered to its residents, as well as greater attention to the holistic formation of students.
Yes! The HRC houses both males and females. University House houses the male members of the HRC and Texana houses the females.
Programming fees are $140 each semester. This will be charged to your Baylor bill at the beginning of the semester and will be used to fund programs and opportunities for you!
